Tracy Kennedy is an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley and the Chief Operations Officer at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Canada and Head of Solutions for International Wealth Management.
Tracy has been with Morgan Stanley for more than 30 years, holding various roles in Private Wealth Management, Risk, Capital Markets and most recently in Corporate and Institutional Services. Tracy joined the Private Wealth Management division of Morgan Stanley in 1992, where she worked with a team of top producers responsible for clients with complicated needs and complex products such as alternative investments, affiliate/insiders, OTC derivatives, futures and commodities, options, and hedging strategies. Tracy’s client base was U.S. and international.
In 2005, Tracy left Sales and became a Senior Risk Analyst responsible for credit risk analysis on substantial loan requests and providing guidance to advisors about optimal lending strategies, among other risk-related duties. Tracy eventually transitioned to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Capital Markets division where she worked as a Program Manager on several cross-divisional initiatives relating to Fully Paid Lending, Foreign Exchange and listed Futures. After the firm’s acquisition of Solium, Tracy transitioned to the Corporate & Institutional Services division, where she led the Program Management Office Team for Canadian, EMEA and APAC initiatives, including managing the program for standing up Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Canada, the firm’s Canadian broker-dealer.
Currently, Tracy oversees the day-to-day operations of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Canada, working closely with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Compliance, Legal and Risk to deliver an optimal customer experience and drive growth through best-in-class technology and digital platforms.
Tracy holds a B.A. from St. Lawrence University. In her free time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family and giving back; she has served on the boards of educational and musical nonprofits, and she runs a local running club.
